Eat Well, Exercise Well

Eating well when you're exercising, whether you're using workout DVD's or workout videos online is one of the most important things you can do to ensure you're losing the weight you want and your body is getting the nutrition it needs. Women especially need to learn how to eat well because workout videos for women often work every muscle group as well as giving the heart a good workout.

Eating well is not all about counting calories. Yes, you want to stay under a certain amount of calories daily, but you also want to watch what type of calories you're consuming. If you're eating nothing but empty calories, your body isn't getting the nutrition that it needs to keep doing workouts for women. But if you make sure you're eating the right kind of calories, you know your body is getting exactly what it needs without giving it too much, allowing you to burn the unwanted fat on your body and maintain a lean, fit physique.

Making sure you eat lots of whole, fresh foods is one great way to feel confident that you're eating well. Fresh spinach, fruits and vegetables all contain lots of nutrients and very few calories. Eating "low calorie" snack cakes and the like may keep you under your calorie level for the day but snacks like that contain lots of empty calories that won't keep your body running. Choose better versions of foods, such as whole wheat pasta instead of regular to give your body more nutrients and whole grains, although the calorie counts of both products are roughly the same.

You will begin to notice your body responding to a better diet full of important nutrients as you continue to do your workouts. When you look better, you'll notice that you really start feeling better too!
